Dear support coordinators, allied health colleagues, equipment specialists, and support workers,

Wishing you a fulfilling and joyful 2026 filled with new breakthroughs, greater heights of success, and meaningful moments with your loved ones. I hope the Christmas to New Year's season was restful and refreshing for you, spent with family and friends.

Reflecting on the Past Year

Personally, the time of slowing down reminded me of the simple joys in life. These include the safety we enjoy in Australia, quality time with family and friends, the provision of food and shelter, and the luxury of enjoying hobbies and leisure time. I also reflected on the privilege of doing meaningful work in the disability space. It is rewarding to transform lives and build up individuals and their communities. Additionally, I considered my past experiences in 2025, including my shortcomings and struggles, to think about how I can improve my clinical practice in the year ahead.

🌟 Though the journey may be windy and uncertain, sometimes filled with disappointments, challenges, and discouragement, I am grateful to be in this line of work. I appreciate journeying alongside our clients and making a positive difference one conversation, one intervention, one appointment, and one step at a time. 🌟

Exciting Changes Ahead

As we begin a new year, Recreate Life is introducing some exciting new changes. These changes will help us provide timely, effective, and compassionate occupational therapy services across Southern Adelaide:

• We have upgraded our Client Management System. This upgrade provides automated appointment reminders and improved security for storing confidential client information.

• Our Accounting Software has also been upgraded to ensure tax compliance and clear invoicing for all clients.

• We are now registered as a Pty Ltd company with a new Australian Business Number (ABN). This change increases accountability in legal, financial, and business governance processes. Our new ABN is 35 69 4011179.

• We have launched an open hiring process for experienced and capable occupational therapists. This is to meet the growing service needs in Southern Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Our current next availability for FCAs, AT reviews, and home modifications is late January to early February 2026.

• We have improved accessibility to our Referral Forms and Enquiry/Feedback Forms. These forms can be accessed via our website or as attached.

• Our Privacy Policy and Service Agreements are now more accessible. They are included on our website for increased transparency and accountability.

• All Service Agreements will be updated with increased legal safeguards for clients and Recreate Life upon their renewal in 2026.
